HONDURAS TEAM

Dr. Marco Tulio Medina, PhD.
Dr. Medina is a renowned neurologist. He has been recognized among the top researchers with the highest scientific output at the National Autonomous University of Honduras and has been recognized in international rankings for his scientific contributions in the field of medicine. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Vice Rector of International Relations at UNAH. He has been awarded a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor by the French Republic for his significant contributions to medicine.

Dr. Marcio Alexander Castillo-Díaz, PhD
Dr. Castillo is a professor in the Department of Psychology and the Research and Outreach Coordinator for the Master's Program in Psychometrics and Educational Evaluation at the National Autonomous University of Honduras. He has conducted research in psychology and education on topics related to retention and dropout in higher education, metacognition, psychometric studies, and mental health in university settings.

Dr. German Edgardo Moncada Godoy, PhD.
Dr. Moncada is a university professor and academic coordinator of the Master's Program in Psychometrics and Educational Evaluation at the National Autonomous University of Honduras. He has conducted various research projects in social psychology, neuroscience, and education.

Dr. Ivette Carolina Rivera Zelaya, PhD
. Dr. Rivera is a professor and coordinator of the PhD program in Psychology at the National Autonomous University of Honduras, the School of Psychological Sciences, the Master's program in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Master's program in Clinical Psychology. She has worked as a clinical psychologist in the public sector. Her research interests include behavioral dentistry, clinical child psychology, and psychopedagogy.

Master Patrocinio Bladimir Vásquez, MSc.
Master Vásquez is a clinical and health psychologist from the Vice-Rector's Office for Guidance and Student Affairs at VOAE/UNAH. He is the coordinator of the Mental Health Project and has conducted research studies on mental health issues. He has worked on USAID projects benefiting young people in Honduras.

Ilce Jackelyn Pérez Ramírez, MSc.
Pérez is a clinical psychologist at the Office of the Vice-Rector for Guidance and Student Affairs (VOAE/UNAH). She has worked as a professor and has experience in neuropsychological assessments and cognitive rehabilitation, providing clinical care focused on depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. She has conducted research on mental health topics and is currently the coordinator of the Mental Health Project at UNAH-Honduras.

Dr. Virna Julissa López, PhD
Dr. López is a research professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at the School of Biology, UNAH, and the Department of Natural Sciences at the Pedagogical University of Honduras (UPNFM). She coordinates the Applied Neurosciences Group (GINA) and the UNAH Mental Health Project. She has conducted research in education, neuroscience, and behavioral fields, among others. She completed her doctoral studies in Germany. She has been recognized as a Honduran scientist by the Government of Honduras.

Dr. Lakshmi Ravindran, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Ravindran is a psychiatrist in the Division of Mood and Anxiety Disorders at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. She has completed fellowships in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders and has a particular interest in pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatments for these disorders, especially early illnesses.

Tricia da Silva, PhD
Dr. da Silva is a research fellow in the Division of Mood and Anxiety Disorders at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and coordinator of the Global Mental Health section in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on the psychosocial and neurobiological contributors and correlates of mood and anxiety disorders, and non-pharmacological and complementary interventions for these conditions.

Dr. Niki Fitzgerald, PhD, C.Psych
Dr. Fitzgerald is a clinical psychologist in the Work, Stress, and Health program in the Division of Mood and Anxiety Disorders and the Interim Training Director of the Psychology Practice Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. In addition to providing psychological services, she also supervises psychology interns and practicum students. She is also a professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Psychiatry. She holds Diplomate status in the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
